A friend just called saying he had just purchased a Wohler watch from an on-line auction for $120.00 that had a MSRP of $3400. Now, call me a skeptic but I have never heard of this brand of watch and I doubt it's remotely worth $3400, or even the $120 he paid. Anyone heard of these watches, I'm assuming it's some kind of on-line scam.

I am not familer with this brand but I did some research on eBay. There currently are 329 watches forsale and they all claim that they are $3000+ Retail priced, but are selling in the $50-150 range? The website looks nice, but I'm not sure of the quality of these automatic movements.

I remember a scam once, where guys in pick up would stop you on the street and try to sell you "High end" home audio equiptment. Only to find that the system was junk, even though the "website" projected them to be high $.

These may or may not be a quality watch... and $100 for an automatic movement seams strange... to my knowledge one of the least expensive automatic watches that are acurate would be a Seiko Diver or a Tissot.
