Vintage Tudor

Hi all,

My wife had a friend who passed away recently, and his wife was requesting that I try to find out any information about his watch. It is a Tudor Oyster Automatic with no date (see pics). There are some numbers on the case back, which is stainless. The watch is on a new leather strap, and was sent out in the past year or two to Rolex, where it was repaired, and the missing crown was replaced. I really don't know much about Tudors at all, so I have no idea as to the age or value of the watch, and any info would be appreciated.

As to the vintage, its from somewhere between 1936 and 1947. Scroll down to Dials in this thread:

I would guess $800 to 1100. (but i'm no expert).

It is similar to the watch posted here (which apparently has altered movement issues).
