Need Help With Choosing a Panarei
This will be my first Panerai. I saw a 310 that I really liked new at an AD. My understanding is that it's not made anymore. I want a 40mm, 42 maybe only if I can't find a 40 that I like. I want a black dial with a brown leather strap. No preference of Chrono or not.
Any suggested ADs or trusted TRF sellers that you would recommend? Thanks, |

Have you checked out Panerai's website? The search function will sort the models and should pull up the models you might want and, with pictures, it will mean more than a list of numbers (like 512, 337, 338, 392, 532, 50, 48).
As for the strap color, my advice is don't sweat it. An AD should at least switch straps if not throw in a strap or two to sweeten the deal. And then there's all the very good 3rd party makers. Anyway, good luck not going strap crazy. |

Not sure if you're planning on keeping your Panerai, or selling at some point... but the PAM's below 44mm don't hold their value very well.
I'd definitely be looking in the pre-owned marketplace - but that's me. There are dedicated Panerai websites that have "Collector's Markets" where you can probably find what you're looking for. Don't forget to post on there for a reference check, too! |

Have you tried on a 44mm? Believe me they are great even with my small wrists, 40mm are too small for the height, really try some 44's...

Yes, 44mm PAMs don't wear as large as you would think. Try to consider this to be a "brand identity minimum size". I suggest you give it a go before deciding!

Last time i went to my AD to buy a 40mm, i left with a 47mm. I just can't help when it comes to Panerai. Funny thing is that i don't like watches over 40 mm from other brands.

Look at the 44 mm models (or larger)
You'll save time & money in the long run

If you get a 40 you will regret soon after and sell it to get a 44, really go to an AD and try a few, the 1950's wear a little larger, the others smaller, but believe me I have tiny wrists and there is no way I would have gotten a 40, really like everyone here tells you try a few 44's
