I am so bummed

I have wanted a perpetual calendar for the longest time. I love most of the big house perpetuals such as A. Lange & Sohne, Glashutte Original, JLC, IWC, Patek Philippe, etc.

I have been watching a GO Perpetual Calendar on E-Bay, ( A watch I absolutely love), and it sold today for $7,517. I am . Take a look at what I lost out on:

Oh well, some day. I have to settle drooling over Jocke's fabulous looking GO's.

I wouldn't worry Terry. From my little knowledge of the GO brand, the re-sale prices do take a significant hit from brand new prices.

does it have to be a perpetual calendar? if you "settle" for an annual, it will open the possibilities quite a bit! (and lower the price as well)

Nuts! Terry, don't know much about G.O., but that seemed like a good price. Am I wrong?

This watch retails for $19,300 brand new. It was a fabulous price.

Mark:

I know what you're saying about an annual calendar being cheaper. A perpetual calendar is a watch collector's must have. Kind of like having a tourbillon or a minute repeater. A perpetual calendar needs only be reset once in the year 2100 after it is set in my lifetime. What an Awesome feat. I like watches that do more than just tell time.

My god! Now I know why you're so bummed! And I'm right with you on perpetual calenders - they are truly a feat of incredible engineering.

I think we have ALL been there when we have missed out on something we like. I know I have been only 2 seconds off my timing to bid on an item.

Hang in there our friend!!

Stan.
