Looks Decent, Rootbeer GMT

I came across this Rootbeer GMT, low price, probably needs some servicing, but $3250 may not be all that bad, the downer for me is the jubilee band.

Rob, that looks VERY good. I would jump on it at that price, and you can always swap out the jubilee for an oyster at some later date. That is the "nipple" dial - very desirable.

I have a 1995-era Rootbeer, and paid about $4,400 for it.

Was that a photo of your Rootbeer?

Also, excuse my ignorance, but what do you mean "nipple" deal?

Wow it is gone

Here is another on ebay...

Yes, that is a photo of mine. My best illustration of the difference between the two dial styles will be these two photos:

Earlier "nipple" dial (not my photo)...

Later, more open hour markers (my GMT)...

Cheers...

Thanks

The last 2 Rolexes, the Rootbeer and a GMT Coke that I posted here were bought by the same ebay buyer, time115

I wonder if he is on here and saw the posts, I really don't care if he snagged them, I am just curious

You're welcome. Don't know about the buyer (could be a member here - who knows), but just to let you know that another great deal will come along on eBay sometime. I purchased ALL of my Rollies on eBay, and have been most satisfied!

1) Why does he advertise it (at least, in one place he does) as an "M"?

2) There is no Rolex in Chicago. He means an AD, right?

I am sure it is not the RSC but probably an authorized AD? I was thinking of offering $3000 to see, but I am waiting for him to email me back on my questions

hi prince... nice two tone GMT you've got...

i believe yrs is a 16713 (from the 16710 series, early 1990's)...

whereas the GMT in the ebay auction is a 16753 (from the 16750 series, 1980's)....
