maybe not vintage, but Im sharing

16800 from -84. Matt dial.

Probably overpaid for it considering I afterwards had to add $1000 to get it waterproof and smooth bezel action. But its only money... They don't make them like this anymore

Oh my god thats gorgeous. Honestly, maybe the nicest submariner I've ever seen. Perfect balance of modern and vintage in my opinion. And look at the condition!!!

Thx guys! In my book matte dial should count as vintage. The condition is really good, that’s why I jumps on it. Have service papers from Japan so guessing it has been worn by a Japanese businessman

That is spectacular! Any watch older than 20 years is worthy of being classed as vintage. Enjoy it in the best of health.

I rather like these and I think it's vintage enough (good mix of vintage and modern actually). That's why I picked up my 16660. Beautiful watch OP.

Pre-1985 is vintage in my book. Thats a stunner! I love the color that the insert is turning into.

The Matt dial 16800 is considered vintage imo. Look perfect on you.

The only people who think it's not vintage are those like me who remember watching the 1984 summer games in Los Angeles! It makes us feel old. Classic watch. What did Rolex charge you for the bezel and insert? I bought one complete assembly for us$300 about 2 years ago froma rolex service centre.
