The long hunt finally over - 1601 linen Dial inbound!

Long story short, after owning a few modern Rolex's (and other brands), the vintage bug bit me and I had a achievable grail in mind since I started learning about Vintage Rolex. A linen dial 1601. Here are pictures from the seller, hopefully will be will next week (coming from Indonesia). I will post my own pictures when I receive it. I am just too excited not to share with someone!

Awesome watch, congrats. Almost convinced my buddy to get one of these as his first nice piece--he went with a Tudor Oyster Prince with this cool sort of argyle dial instead.

Congrats on the conclusion of your hunt....it’s a beautiful watch. I love my 1601 blue and wear it as part of my work rotation. As satisfying as it is to find and acquire your grail -It took me a while to realize how enjoyable the quest is.

This is my first time purchasing a watch oversea's. I am dealing with a guy who deals in vintage watches and sells to the states routinely, so I am pretty comfortable with it. I will update this thread as I receive updates myself.

Congrats Kevin, beautiful and classic. I have heard of date wheels that have open 6/9 for all but '26' and yours appears to have it (based on the original picture you posted from the seller and then the picture you posted once you received), :)
