I have not measured the strap, could it be 27mm for this model?

Yes, either 26mm or 27mm fit nicely on the Rad's.
Your original Panerai strap is 27/22mm.

Huge Congratulations to you!!

I think the 424 is an amazing watch. I love the California dial, and the gold hands work so well with it. As well, it is nice that they put the subtle logo on this dial as well.

When I wear my 424, I feel that it is my favorite Panerai. But I feel exactly the same when I wear my others as well! I have never found a brand, where I can wear each of the models I have and feel like it is my favorite! The thing, I feel, about the 424 is that I love the uniqueness of the bold California dial.

Sometimes, I wear it on the black calf leather strap I got. It almost makes it look like a dress watch:

Anyway, congratulations again, and I hope you continue to enjoy it for a long, long time! I love your photos!

Cheers,
Carl

thank you!! I have several watches but the panerai California I'm taking a special affection. Now I am worried because in a trip I have taken the book or instruction manual and I have lost it !! I have a great displeasure ,It's like this:

If you bought the 424 new from an aD or boutique, they can replace the book. If you didn’t, you are out of luck and the value of the particular PAM drops at least 30%.

Yes, I bought it new, this week I'll go and ask for a replacement, it's just the instruction book, which is generic for this model, the book of sealed guarantees I have it safe,

Thoughts re this model? I tried it on last month at the boutique in Orange County and really liked it. My hesitation is the uniqueness of the dial. When I think Panerai I think sandwich dial.

Cali dials are super cool. The only Panerai dial I would be ok with a non-sandwich!!! If it is not a Cali, it has to be a sandwich for me...
