Unknown RED Sub model...???
Err buddies...the Seller claims to be the original owner of this RED Sub...in eBay
But perhaps he forgot to disclose that...his RED Sub has missing cyclop...!? The Seller seems to have a good record...but his last transaction was in FEB 2007...no traceable record of what he sold then...that Orchi could find. Hmmm...why would a Seller who wants to sell one of the HOTTEST Rolex watches...NOT specifically keen to show close up pictures of the watch...n especially on the RED Submariner Dial...??? Illogical moves by the Seller... No bids so far...though. |

Quite possible cyclops was removed. John. |

It says there was a new crystal put on in the reconditioning. He may have requested the no cyclops. The watch looks decent. Any other opinions?

In the description the seller explicitly mentioned he requested Rolex for a crystal without magnification. So there u go.
However, I would have thought that he would show the warranty cert too and not just the receipts. Good thing is that he accepts paypal. P.S. you can ring De Vons Jewelers, Rogue Valley Mall, 1600 N Riverside Ave #1140, Medford, OR 97501 (I think that's what printed there in the receipt). Quote the case number 3181143 and see. Well, the number is +1 541 858 0470, just found it... |

Orchi, not much of an opinion here except that I'd like to buy a red sub, but that would not be one I would consider, based on the pics and item description.

It looks like the dial was recommended to be changed due to the aged patina with the lume. The bezel was recommended for changing as he has a known and stated scratch on the bezel. It appears that he wanted some things left original and some things changed. I still don't understand why he would want a crystal with no cyclops. He's changed the history of the watch which will probably detract from the value. It looks like he did it to keep it and has since changed his mind to sell it.
