Icon5 10 Post Rule

Evening all,

Been a 'secret' surfer on the forum for a number of years and had typed up a little review of one of may watches tonight. I had linked in Pictures the way the guide instructs via photobucket and I got given a prompt saying that there is a 10 post rule in place before posting a 'link'; presumably referring to the link to the photos.

Bit annoying that is had to be my first forum post, to the point it almost put me off.

is it just a case of leaving 10 random posts and spamming up the forum before being allowed to post a picture of your watch they way you are guided to?!

(Anyone up for a quick chat haha!)

Thanks,

Kyle

Every member here goes through the same ‘vetting’ period. It is there to for the benefit of the forum!
If you read a little more, it’s not only 10 posts, but it’s also 15 days of membership before one can post a link. A small price in the grand scheme..
Further more, a new member can post a picture with less than 10 posts, it just can’t be a link to a picture. As long as it conforms to the forums size requirements, isn’t a hyperlink, the picture will post if done correctly!

Sorry you feel ‘put off’, however, it’s a necessary provision

You can add a photo straight away there is no 10 post qualifying period:

1. get the link from your third party host to the photo and on the editing toolbar click on the photo icon. Post the link into the pop-up and click "OK"

2. Upload a photo via the paperclip button on the editing toolbar but it must be not more than 200kb and not more than 1250 pixels wide before uploading.  First go the advanced toolbar and click on the paper clip button and upload the photo from your computer.  Once uploaded place your cursor in the text area where you want the photo to appear and click on the drop down arrow just immediately to the right side of the paper clip button that you just used and click on the image name for it to be inserted in your post.
