GMT II price check please.

local seller asking $3300 for a Y serial with paper black and red insert GMT II. Is that a decent deal? He also has a submariner Y serial as well. What would be a better deal gmt or submariner? thanks

I'm gonna guess the price is decent as I paid $5000 2 years ago for my Z serial GMT II.

Regarding which watch though... in my opinion, the GMT and Submariner are among the more accessible sport Rolex models and everyone goes with the sub. GMT all the way :)

Pretty typical price for either one of those....

Either watch is almost 10 years old and should have been serviced or will need one shortly......

You can get a new SS GMTIIc for $5950 from my local AD that is if you are not specifically looking for a black and red.

papers?

Does it have all appropriate papers, boxes, etc? If yes - IMO the price is not a steal - and you are not overpaying. Per Tools advice - ypu need to budget for a service in addition to the purchase price.
