Inherited a president. Need help identifying the dial.

Hey guys, I know this is a common trope but I recently inherited some watches....all of which I am familiar with except for this one. I know it's late 60s or early 70s and has the bark finish. What I don't know is if the dial is original because I've never seen it before. I do have the original box and papers on the way, just waiting for my grandma to find them.

Your input is greatly appreciated. Here is a pic:

First of all, congratulations on an amazing family heirloom! I love the 1807s.

It will definitely need a service, those day and date wheels need to be clocked, hopefully nothing is broken internally.

I have never seen a dial like that. They usually either had all stick markers or all diamond markers. Yours may have been modified and a jeweler added some diamonds. Beautiful pie pan dial none the less.

Thanks for your input. I agree the date and day wheels look off. I also have never seen that diamond formation which is why I'm assuming it's an aftermarket addition.

Congrats on a wonderful way to remember your grandfather. Mine left me a simple gold date, but it is my absolute favorite watch. EVERY time I look down at it, I think of him.

Your watch might need a service and/or your day and date wheels have worn teeth. Either are easily fixed with a decent watchmaker.

As to your dial, I’m going aftermarket but maybe Crowncollection will come by and confirm for us. He’s our resident DD guru.
