Mini-Mini GTG - Tokyo, Japan

On a recent trip to Japan I ran into Otto, TRF's Daytona aficionado and subject matter expert. We had quick meet up at Jack Road. This watch shop is a little WIS heaven in Tokyo. More Rolexes, Panerai (and yes Dan Pierce -Tudors!) and more...Vintage, new and everywhere in between.

Otto was kind enough to give me the low down on the local watch scene and point out the many, many ADs, "Semi-ADs" etc. in the area. Let me tell you, I have never seen so many minty pre-owned Rolexes - ever. Too bad the Dollar-to-Yen ratio is what it is, or I might have picked one up for myself!

The ultimate pre-owned Daytona eluded me - but the hunt goes on. I must say I have never seen so many SS Daytonas in one shop! Thanks to Otto for his local knowledge and advice.

(Here is a shot in front of Jack Road with me and my Pepsi and Otto sporting his Blingmaster Gold Daytona)

It was great to meet you, Bill.

Maybe we can arrange a mini-GTG with some other forum members here in Tokyo on your next visit.

Very nice, Bill. Great to have an expert like Otto there to show you the ropes.
Now..........how many Tudors did you bring back for me.

>>> Hai. Back in the US Joji. Otto took me by Kamekichi. Right around the corner from Jack Road. Nice stuff as well.

HAHA Dan. I was drooling over two 70's & 80's Big Blocks? they had. Very nice. I think they were big block chronographs...much less Yen than the Daytonas.
