Thoughts on the new Tudor Royal? Day/Date with integrated bracelet.

Doesn't really do it for me but seems to be a nice addition to the Tudor line and a good partner to the more tool like Black Bay.

I actually like it a lot. Always a fan of the integrated bracelets. Great price point too.

Not a fan of the bezel, but $2375 for a steel day-date isn’t bad if it keeps good time.

Awful and embarrassing. The way the Roman numerals (I, III, and XI) are cut off is one of the poorest dial design executions I’ve ever seen.

I wonder is this an ETA movement or tudor?

ETA 2834.

Looks like it's on all languages of Tudor's website now. Not an Asia-only release after all I guess?

I like it, especially the blue dial. Not a huge fan of Roman numerals but that wouldn't stop me from buying.

Make it no date / day and I buy one.
Why no Tudor mvt? There are tons of other eta mvts out there
On this form I'll pass

I like what the did with the case and integrated bracelet.

I’ll bet the bezel looks less checkerboardish in person?!

Yeah, the ETA movement is a bit of a let down.

It's interesting, but not the style that I would want. I do like to see Tudor taking some chances though.

Quite like it, I thought it has the old style stamped clasp on it but looks like it is similar to the 1926 one.
They are reasonably priced and definitely remind me of the old Rolex Oyster Quartz.

I could be tempted at some point by the 38mm Blue Roman Numeral Dial. I think the 41mm would be a bit too big for me father having had a BB41 Blue previously. Now that I have had my Explorer 39mm for a month, I think 39mm is my max size.

I'd like to see one. Unless the pre-owned prices start going nuts (because it's blue) this could be my first modern Tudor.

I prefer ETA to a proprietary movement given how easy they are to service. Plus it's not like they are decorating their movements much anyways. 100% would take the lower price point + reliability...

I had a feeling Tudor was going to make this part of the collection for the world a few weeks back. I saw a few weeks ago some mention of the Royal on the Canadian website and then it was deleted.

I like the look of the watch...It has been said it looks like a combination of a Royal Oak, Nautillus, and Constellation but I would add the Bell and Ross BR05....I think I wouldn't buy this piece myself and if I was looking for an affordable one, I would buy the Bell and Ross. The deep blue dial looks way superior. I'd have to see it in person to make a decision though.

Yeah, aside from the Buckley dial Rolex/Tudor never got the hang of Roman numerals. On the Day-Date the XI is an I

Looks too old fashioned for my taste. I am not a fan of the integrated bracelet look. I do like the engine turned bezel, though. I much enjoy swapping out bracelet for straps and back again. Playing with my watches makes me happy. I have all the tools, size my own bracelets, even on my Rolexes.
