Go to where the shotguns are made....Brescia. Creative Art is a shop which comes to mind, but engravers who can do this style of acanthus engraving are everywhere in the Val Gardone. It's not as expensive as you'd think. There are also lots of great engravers in the UK. Look at the Celtic styles, too.

If you don't mind me asking, is that a genuine bezel and how does one get their hands on one of those? :)

I guess it is a Tudor bezel or a aftermarket (fake).

This is the original insert from 16808 at the beginning of production. Gold dot and silver inscriptions. Bought on ebay. There are several of them in different conditions. Sometimes you can hit NOS.

Keep coming back to this pic. You did a nice job here adding the ceramic bezel. Reminds me of the Tudor BB Chrono S&G

Modified rolex photos please!!!!!!!!!!!!

My early 90s 16610 with updated RSC solid end link bracelet from 1999 and genuine LV bezel and insert. I’ve had this watch since I was 15 in 1991. I’m never selling it. I have the original black bezel as well. Got the LV bezel for fun last week!

That’s a great look! I have a faded blue insert in an extra bezel, just waiting on my LV to come back from service. Then I’ll swap it out and enjoy both looks! Yours looks lovely!

I love the Tudor 79090 and 70190 and have owned them with blue dial and insert. But I like your look better. Purists could be slightly disturbed, but it’s such a lovely look on yours.

Where’d you get the LV bezel?

Ebay there’s a couple for sale but some are beat up. There’s also aftermarket but not the same quality. I got an aftermarket one initially but it didn’t turn well. The bezel was a slight different shape. I loved it so much I decided to buy the factory version and it fit and turned perfectly. Not cheap

I love my 16710N, but really like the font and durability of the ceramic bezel inserts. I decided to see if I could shave a fraction of a millimeter off of an aftermarket ceramic BLRO insert so it would fit in the stock 16710 stainless bezel. Here are some photos showing the metamorphosis.

Original Rolex black aluminum insert:

My 16710N sporting a ceramic BLRO insert:

Here's the jig I made the shave the diameter of the ceramic insert using a Dremel tool and a fine tooth file. It's basically three discs (one sized to the I.D. of the insert sandwiched between the remaining two sized to to O.D. of the insert. The 6-32 machine screw fit the chuck of the Dremel perfectly.

I do not think that insert is genuine Rolex.

You're correct; in my post I stated it is aftermarket. One glaring indication is how the "12" is offset.

Oh, belay my last. I assumed genuine. Nonetheless, creative mod. Thanks for sharing.
