Polishing a WG PP...?
Quick question I am sure that the collective knowledge on hear knows the answer ..
Is it possible to polish a 2010 PP thats White Gold... I have heard mixed information that they are plated / coated and hence polishing will essentially mess up the finish... But I have also read that PP stopped the practice some years ago... Any definitive info would be greatly appreciated.... |

They stopped plating in the early 2000s but it depends on the reference and when it was manufactured. If your watch looks a silvery white like platinum it is plated, if it is more grey it is not plated. More likely than not 2010 isn't plated but as said it depends on when the watch was made rather than sold. Patek Service Center can confirm if you give them the case number. Any respectable AD's eye should also be trained enough to confirm for you.
