This watch is one of the 99 Jour Nuit Ruthenium. (Day night). When FP went to the 40 mm case he created the ruthenium collection of 5 models with brass movements in 40mm. Spectacular ruthenium dials which tend to patina in a very cool way. The “day night” shown here is one of these. There is no black label version of this watch.

I have yet to see a black label that doesn’t look great. There are several references which I honestly have no desire for in their normal configuration but put a black dial on it and I’m sold !

Got the chance to visit the boutique in West Hollywood today and it was a wonderful experience. I was asked not to share pictures of the watch they took out for me, unfortunately. Other than that, everything was great. Laurent Journe was there and said hi, which was a nice surprise. He even sat down with us for a bit while we were going over the watch they brought out. The whole staff was friendly, and I highly recommend talking with Julian to anybody else popping in.

Double strap change today. The honey on the Res is such a sleeper hit. It comes on the new tourbillion but recommended when I bought my CO. Kinda love it.

Hard to argue that. I’ve shown the three to non-watch enthusiasts and the CO immediately sticks out to them.

One thing about Black Label - you don’t get a warranty card. Rather, you get a signed certificate from FP.
