Neo-Vintage Rolex model’s ?
I have Explorer I 14270 with super luminova. My understanding is that 14270 is an example of transition to modern Rolex with gold markers move to 904L steel and the fact watch will look the same as day it was sold which is case for my 21 year old watch. Some folks refer to the watch as neo-vintage.
What classifies Rolex model’s as Neo-Vintage vs vintage? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It’s a fashionable word for an old watch

There is no such classification.
Just as there is no true "vintage" definition/classification, it would be unlikely that there could be any consensus of "Neo-Vintage" (New Vintage) There are still those who insist that only plexi watches are vintage, that false definition has outlived many owners and implies that somehow "vintage" can be stopped at a specific date-in-time to the exclusion of all else.

My 16610 just celebrated it's 20th birthday. Is it vintage? That's a matter of opinion, though undoubtedly my 1601 dj is. Go figure.
