New SuperOcean from Kern’s Instagram

Damn! I love the all blue version without the hour numbers... Now I’ll have to agonize between that (SO III?) and the SOH II for my next Breitling purchase.

Also hoping it’s the B20 movement.

No B20 movement in these per Fred on Breitling Source. I guess the supplier isn't even able to keep up with the demand on the Superocean Heritage so there's no way they can put it in these.

I asked him directly if the 42 will be fully polished (I was hoping not) and he said it will be primarily Satin with polished accents. I am guessing it will be more Omega like, I love how they do theirs! He really cleaned up the face, supposedly they will have some anti-magnetic features as well. I am hoping for an in house movement then I may consider the orange model.

These are huge... The range is heavily skewed with a lot of diameter options in the upper 40s. I would have at least offered one in 38mm or 40 mm for smaller wrists instead.

Oh boy...Breitling will never learn...

This is the exact opposite of what they needed to do.

You don't need a SO in 36, 42, 44, 46 AND 48mm

That is 5 Superoceans x a range of dial colors...

Coming to a TJ MAXX near you Spring 2020.....

They only needed to make 2

A date and the ND version in either 40mm or 42mm..that's it.

this watch speaks to me .. i like the blue dial with black bezel and numerals.

count me in for 1 piece in 42 or 44mm .. -- but i'll wait until i can pick one up one used --

breitling currently is not holding value.

I mostly agree. I think one size either 40 or 42 and with a date. Too many choices is not a good thing. That’s said I really like the 42 and interested to know the MSRP. The SO and SO Pro were such nice watches 20 years ago. It’s a shame they have been so awful these past years. I feel this design is a step in the right direction though.

Thank you that sounds like a fair price.

No blue 42mm on the website, only on the 44mm and larger

Would love a blue 42 with no date.

Kern confirmed on Insta that there is no blue 42 and no-date only available on the 48mm.

While it looks good, the date ruins the watch, in my opinion. If they didn't want to do a no date version, they should have at least put it between 4 and 5. They're also offering too many sizes and yet dial colors don't extend across the range. This release confirms for me that while Breitling is getting moving in the right direction, they are still missing the boat in a lot of ways.
