Replacement crystal

Today I noticed a ding to the crystal of my 1968 5513, the ding is minuscule and only visible at certain angles in and a certain light, (visible in the photo in line by the 12 min marker) I'm not overly concerned but would be interested to learn if its worth buying a spare replacement for future use, and if there was a polishing solution that could be tried to improve / remove the mark?

many thanks "H"

For peace of mind I would get the crystal replaced, or at least get it pressure tested before it next gets wet. I don't know of any specific branded product that will take out that ding, others may know. Perhaps some fine grinding with toothpaste, on a cotton bud, would soften the edges if they are sharp.

A minute with PolyWatch should remove that... if I see what you’re seeing.
It made my crystal look brand new, and it was a mess when I got it.
