Very nice, Congrats! I tried a few on at an AD before buying the Navi, but they all looked very clean and well designed.

Thanks, everyone, for the well wishes...
The Transocean in its 38mm trim is a handsome, elegant chronograph. For me, it's a better size than its larger brother. I opted for the simplicity of the black leather strap with white stitching. Very comfortable...and it really focuses the eye on the design of the watch, with its black dial. Yes, I'm giving up an "in house" movement...and a third sub-dial...but I like this watch's classic lines, even if its chronograph capability is limited. I'm amused the Breitling website describes it as a watch especially made for women. Despite being slightly scaled down from the larger model, its case is quite thick. It is not a petite watch and wears bigger than its numbers might suggest. Traditionally speaking, it is a man's wristwatch. I suppose what they really mean is that the Transocean 38mm is a classic chronograph that is not so large as to be un-wearable for a woman that wants such a watch. Anyway, male or female, if you want an elegant chronograph that is still substantial without being over large, the 38mm is worth taking a look at. |
