New Product Launch or Networking event in Singapore?

Hi,

I saw this invitation for an upcoming event shared by a watch collector in IG.

Anyone else also invited?

I am curious if the event is just a networking event or a new product launch, possibly the worldtimer(based on the card)?

As a UK resident, an in-person Patek event seems a world away from my reality right now! I'm picking up a 5712 from my AD this week, but due to COVID I'm not allowed to go inside the shop, but I can pick it up from the front door!

That’s nuts, will they size it on zoom?

Early grats

Good question that I hadn't considered until now!

I've bought from the AD a few months ago when we could go inside the store but with strict social distancing in place and masks etc., so I am hoping they kept some form of measurement from last time. I'll be disappointed otherwise as I haven't been asked about sizing etc., whereas when I recently bought a Rolex for my wife from another AD they went to great lengths to get information from me so they could size it correctly (it was a Christmas present).

5712/1A incoming from AD? Hope you are playing the lottery this week!
That’s extremely rare especially in UK. Congrats !

Yes I am very lucky. I only put my name down for it a few months ago. The AD told me that there had been a cancellation at another store, so he put my name forward for it. Otherwise I was expecting to wait at least a couple of years for it.

I will be sharing pictures as soon as I get it!

The one I attended in the South of England was a train ride from London to a stately home in Oxfordshire. They also ran a version in the North/Scotland. Daytime event so not overly smart.
