Just bought this vintage beauty

Hello fellow members
So I was surfing our local classified website and I came across this beauty i took it to Breitling service center and everything checked out.
I’ve been wearing it for about 2 days and it’s a 40mm aerospace titanium and around 9mm thick it feels like a feather on the wrist.
I paid around $1100 for it no box or papers . Is the price reasonable or did I overpaid?
All comments are appreciated
Thank you.

Fantastic watch, I have the same model with blue face. Is my favorite travel watch. You paid a reasonable price. Congratulations.

Congrats on this great piece! It represents what Breitling is all about, instruments for professionals. Such a cool piece really and the asking prices have seemingly creeped up just a tad from what I've been seeing for the brand.

I can't say for certain if that's a great price but finding one in good shape for much less than what you paid could be difficult as of the date of this post.

You'll enjoy this piece for many years to come!

I paid a lot more for mine. I bought it with all boxes, papers and a recent Breitling full service though.

Yeah, I don't doubt this one bit. I bought my Chrono SuperOcean in October 2020 off eBay from a brick and mortar in Japan and saw the prices of various models stand higher than they were a few years back.

For $1,100 USD I can't think of many other watches with this history and appeal. If I was looking for that model now I would jump on it considering it's in the same shape as the original poster.

Post pictures of yours as well when you can! These are incredibly cool watches.

I had the opportunity to buy this at likely a very good price a coupe years ago...and I'm kicking myself for not. Seriously.

Trust me, you're not alone there. Years ago when another brand had all of my attention I missed out on some great opportunities to buy in at others. This experience is what fueled my "get your hands on anything you can afford before they're too hard to find".

If you like it and already bought it, don't worry about paying too much or not. Wear it and enjoy.

Maybe silly question as I don’t know much about this model (of even what the model number is).

What are the 2 inner dial cutouts for (below 12 and above 6 hr markers) ? Are they for a digital display or some function?

Hey another aerospace owner! Congrats! I have one of these, 2 tone, purchased new (by my father). Really awesome piece, I used to travel with it exclusively because it wouldn't set off the metal detectors! =)

Cheers!

reference number on back of case above serial number. You can search Breitling site and find a owners manual. it will tell you what they do and how to use them. Watch has A LOT of features.

No matter if the price is good or bad, disregard it. What's most important is how the watch makes you feel on wrist :)))

"repetition minutes" on dial...that is interesting...had not seen it before. Is it common or not?
