Does Patek give any papers following a service?

Hello everyone,
I recently got my Nautilus 5800 back from servicing through WoS and it doesn't seem to come with any papers.

Is that normal?

If it helps, when I got mine serviced by PP through an AD here it came with papers.

Was it returned in a PP cardboard box?

I got no papers, only a dated receipt for the service payment from the AD which acts as the start date for the warranty.

When I have gone through HSWA I have received papers detailing the work that was done. When I have gone thought an AD....NOTHING.

I'll never service a PP though an AD again.

Same here. Working with the local Patek Service Center in person I get a detailed receipt with the work done. Going via the AD to the same Patek Service Center (when it was closed for Covid) I only got ... the watch.

Thanks all. I find it weird that what you get back is different depending on whether you go the AD route or directly to PP (given i know for sure this was sent to PP for servicing anyway...)

Not that I care that much as most stuff will be in the archive extract if I ever have to prove something..but I still think it is interesting :)

yeah, i got an estimate from Patek Philippe manfacture (which detailed all the work that needed to be done incuding compulsory and optional items) and the final invoice was from the AD. but no final invoice from PP

Strange, I wonder why that is.

That does change things a little then..as it means that the generic receipt I have from the AD is the only proof of a service/warranty restart.

I'll ask for info once I am allowed to go back to the store :)

They do not. I got a PP serviced in full in Houston. Only a receipt and service tag with the watch coming in a vacuum sealed pack.

This is because AD's are actually allowed to mark up the service costs if they want.

And that's why I never go through an AD for any type of service, even the trustworthy ones. Why do so? There's no reason not to go direct to HSWA.

The other reason to go directly through HSWA is that you do have a itemized scope of work that has been done on the watch. It also authenticates the service was done by PP. It give SO much more provenance to the watch, much like an extract from the archive. The invoice will not only detail the service work done and the cost of each procedure, but also show the case # and movement # of the watch.
