Do you insure your watches and if so which do you use ?
Hello all,
Just thought it'd be nice to get a concencus on if people insure their watches and if so what company/plan to they recommend? I would like to create a poll for this, not sure how though. Thanks, Eli Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yes, I do.
My watches are covered by my house insurance (UK company) under contents in/out of the house. Those that are of a particular value and above have to be named items specified within the policy. Have been thinking about this of late actually. Insuring and making a successful claim is one thing, if the worst happened, but to actually source a replacement would be something I think which poses a bigger problem. |

Either use Jewelers mutual or your home insurance. Price them both out and see which offers better coverage. Not always about cost.

Yes. Use same insurance company that handles my home insurance with a specific policy extension for each item.

I have a policy under USAA since I already use them for auto and renters insurance.

I have them on my homeowners policy at stated value which is Rolex MSRP. It was pretty easy to add them

Separate jewelry policy with State Farm. Covers damage, theft and loss. No deductible. Cost is 1.25% of appraised value of my two Rolexes. Do not cover other brands because of lower value.

Some of the pieces are just covered under my homeowner's policy. The larger valued watches are on separate, no deductible riders that provide coverage for any loss or damage, regardless of cause.

nope. it'll cost me $2,000 + every year. No thanks. Every 5 years, the savings can go toward a new stainless steel watch.
And if you do make a claim, they'll do everything to denied you and jacked up the premium afterward LOL. |
