Seems you don't need a big fancy set up after all.
Canon 5D & 50mm lens early one morning before school exam.
A view of the Moon and comet over the Dolomites.
That photo was taken in 2018. It’s a meteor and Moon over the Dolomites.

Young Astronomy Photographer of the Year
Winner: Fabian Dalpiaz (Italy, aged 15) with Great Autumn Morning
On an early Monday morning before taking an exam at school, the photographer decided to go out and take some images. Shooting on a 50mm lens, Dalpiaz captured this incredible photograph of a meteor passing over the Dolomites in Italy.

My mistake......it's a Meteor.

Photo was taken Oct. 2017 though.

Finally got out with my new gear. This is my first experience shooting with a dedicated cooled CMOS camera. This was taken with a Skywatcher 80ED Pro mounted on a Skywatcher EQ6-R Pro. Camera is a ZWO ASI183mm Pro. This was shot through a 7nm Ha filter. The image consists of 30 4 minute subs and 15 darks. Integrated and calibrated in Pixinsight.

I just see a low-res pixelated photo, Joshua.

I figured I would update this thread with my latest project. This image was a couple of weeks in the making. I would have gotten all of the data last weekend but the clouds rolled in.
This is my first attempt at channel combination for processing the Hubble palette. I am fairly new to CMOS imaging and am enjoying the process and all of the tinkering immensely. I was able to get 20x240s subs in both Ha and SII last weekend. I acquired 20x240s subs in OIII this weekend. 41 darks were also taken. I manually calibrated and registered each channel in Pixinsight. I then used ABE on each channel and then used the multiscale linear transform process with a range mask applied to address noise in each channel using only layers 2,3 and 4. From here I matched a minimal curves transform across all 3 channels. All of these steps were done while the 3 channels were still linear. At this point I performed a masked stretch. From here I exported as a 16bit tiff and did some finishing touches in PS. Local contrast enhancement, increase star color, vibrancy and exposure. All layers were adjusted with 33% opacity. Hopefully on my next target I can get a better workflow and be a little bit more efficient. I spent a lot of time going back and tweaking little things.

Equipment used:

Skywatcher EQ6-R Pro - Skywatcher 80ED - ZWO ASI 183GT MM Pro. No auto guiding setup yet. That will be my next investment which will allow for longer than 4 minute subs.

That’s exactly how I would have suggested it. Professional quality photo.

I had the photo enlarged to 24” x 36” and placed it in the upstairs family room.

Shot by Mr Rockwell on his iPhone, through a Celestron'scope.

I might put my DSLR away in a drawer!
