You pay your premium when you establish your “relationship” with them.

I would have thought paying a premium for a retail piece from an AD is a big no-no and risk losing their Rolex licence?

Now if it was a package deal which I do know alot of Ads doing is completely different...

What I'm curious about is whether the invoice reflects the premium paid, or whether it has the MSRP and the premium was paid under the table.
Invoice only reflects MSRP

Congratulations.
I have been waiting for one of these for 6 months now and every time I called my AD in Massachusetts I was told that Rolex has been closed due this Pandemic for a indefinite time. Is that true? US AD will not get watches from Rolex for a while?

Curious how the AD premium compared to a gray market premium.

Just wait and be patient, they need you more than you need them. You can get MSRP with time, or less.

I just got my Batman from the Boutique this week. SA told me that the Rolex main office in NY is still close, it might reopen in June. The shipment that the boutique got it last week was from Dallas warehouse, probably some left over before the lockdown.

Seems we have heard of this before. Ad's in different countries operate by different principles than do other countries, to be expected I suppose.

I keep telling myself this, but I've been on the waitlist with my AD for two years. Previously bought a BLNR in 2017 but still waiting on the Pepsi.

AD Called ... GMT Master 2 Pepsi?! 126710BLRO

It’s highly unlikely an AD will ask a customer for ‘under the table’ money, as they don’t know what you would do with that information.

So the SA must have somehow understood that you’d be willing to entertain this type of corruption.

People saying that ‘that’s how it works in some countries’ is lame, corruption is often instigated by greedy businessmen who say that to justify their unethical behaviour.

Malaysia only has 3 ADs, Hour Glass, Valiram and Cortina...

Your post has now put all 3 on notice with Rolex.

Congratulations on your new pepsi. I'm still scratching my head how you paid premium from an AD. One of the AD where I got my sub date, she told me in order to get a pepsi I would need to buy the presidential. I declined it. That's just ridiculous
