i still prefer the 47mm PAM 372 as the case design is much more unique

Well, I had Sharif at the NYB add me to the list. Just hope it doesn't come the same week as the 372. Need to spread out the love (and the money).

Straight from Italy:

Thank you for your interest in the 390 Limited Edition model for Boutiques in 2000 units.

It is a Luminor Base 44mm in steel, hound-wound mechanical, on its back there is ingraved the slow torpedo.

Its value is 3.400,00 Euro including tax.

To be honest......I'm not as sure as I was before. Good, but I'm not blown away. Could be the pics.

Oh no, Mik! Say it ain't so. I think those pics just suck. I thought the 417 looked awesome, but I just wanted it to be a base dial. So I'm hoping this one has the same quality look and those are just bad pics.

I'm with you Mik. Those pics just pushed me back to the 372. I'm hoping that it's just the quality of the pics, but man that sure looks like a 000 with gold hands missing the OP logo.

I really want to see 372 as well, give us the honest feedback and pics when you see it next in BH.

I guess based on those Mik pics, 372 is still on top of my list as well.

Not as good as I imagined as the lum colour is not dark enough and it is not going to be a sandwich dial. However, given the price of it with gold hands and pig logo at the back, it is still an attractive piece.

Confirmed by boutiques in Shanghai that it will definitely be here before the end of the year.

This is going to be a tough call. These bad pics aren't helping. It's definitely different than that catalog pic. The numbers are different. The catalog mock up looks more vintage for sure. I'm not sure we can judge the lume color yet though from these pics. I think the lume color on the 416/417 is dead perfect and also painted and I think they look great, so I'm hoping this will too.

I would like to call this the poor man's 372. For those who can not afford 372, PAM just offered you a solution. You can buy 2 * 390 for 1 * 372. I would think PAM is making 372 affordable for anyone. Good PR for them. Thumbs up

Poor man is a relative term. I can afford both, but I want one that fits well.

The catalog pic almost looks like they just photoshop'd the dial of the 372 onto the regular 44mm Luminor case.
