Do you wear your Pam to work?

Hi all. New member here! Just bought my first Pam a few weeks ago (111 O series) and have only just started wearing it everyday to work, whereas was saing it for the weekends. I work in an office and most people who do wear decent watches all have Rolexes (desk diving clones for the most part). Does anyone else wear a Pam to work? Are Pams considered too "flash" or non conformist? Interesting to get people's views. Cheers!

No reason not to wear it at work.

I work in financial sales and have gotten some negative feedback on my 351 being too flashy so I wear a JLC now during meetings.

Really? Flashy as in $$$ or do they interpret it as an oversize-fashion watch?

Flashy as in $$$ especially when the stigma for wholesalers is that we make too much money as it is.

If I'm wearing a suit - I typically don't wear the Pam. It doesn't fit under my cuffs. Doh!

You just need bespoke shirts.

I need bespoke shirts with bigger cuff openings! I'm a goofy size so I've been getting my shirts from the same HK tailor for nearly 30 years. :D

Nick comes to town every so often, lays out the fabrics and a few weeks later they magically appear on my doorstep. It's kind of like seeing an old friend now.

I wear a t-shirt and a sweat shirt most of the time, work hands on in hydraulics and engineering, classic car work, and wear the Panerai.
Sometimes even the JLC Reverso gets a run.

Every now and again I take them off, if I'm near magnets or high magnetic fields, hammering, fabricating or machining. Otherwise, bring it on.

Pretty sure I have some long sleeve shirts somewhere, cuffs just get grubby and wear out quickly ;-)

Cheers
Richard.

PS. one day I'll buy an Omega PO or similar for the rough stuff.

If you can, try to keep the sub and get a nice Pam. I have a sub as well, and I use it in places I would not wear my pam.

BTW, welcome to the forum. Good luck in your search for a Pam.

I wear my Pams and Rolexes and Omega's as I wish. No one knows and no one cares. Most people wear no watch at all since there are clocks in the building, on the puters, and on everyone's cell phone but mine, since I don't have one.

Problem solved! Just get fitted for a larger cuff on your watch wrist next time.

Thanks for the responses guys. No one has mentioned my Pam at work surprisingly, despite my efforts to wave it in everyone's face. I agree though why squirrel it away for the weekend, show it off.

Great idea to switch to a more casual strap at the weekend as well, another plus with Pannys. Just picked up an Assoloutemente last week that is perfect!

Wear you PAM (or largest watch you have and want to fit under your cuff)during measurement next time. After this, New shirts for large watch, older ones for your regular sized watches.
