dilemma: OP39 white or BB58

I currently have a Hulk and a GMT IIc 116710LN. I work as a pharmacist and always felt that my hulk or gmt was too showy at work. I had other watches: pams, a speedy and other watches on leather straps but recently sold them all.

My question is: OP39 white or BB58 on bracelet as a daily for work??? I work 7on-7off. So one of these 2 would be worn 100% of the time at work. Hulk/GMT for my week off work.

Lemme know your thoughts.

Cheers,
Bruce

I like both, but I don’t either choice is less “showy” than what you already have. These are sports watches, and to the average person, the white dial op is likely the one that appears to be the most fancy.

Easy choice: OP39 - versatile, different colour options, won't break the bank, great history, very well built, will last forever.

The BB58 is a low key watch and would work extremely well in your work setting. Plus it’s got that useful timing bezel.

I own both and to me the OP39 is a much better watch for everyday use and can easily dress up/down. I reach for my bb58 when I’m dressing casually, never for formal wear.

However, you can’t go wrong with any of these two really. Good luck deciding!

BB58 perchance, there are any sort of spillages at work... (Divers watch) Jokes aside, I'd go for the 58 for the fact that on the bracelet it looks cool/classy... If you ever want to wear it when you're not at work slap a NATO on it... Plus it has the useful bezel.

bb58 is outstanding

The OP / explorer and even oyster DJ are very safe bets. They tick all the boxes and a white dial OP is probably the pinnacle of a safe bet.

But the 58 has a personality, to me at least. It has flare and a boldness about it. A charm to me that I can't stop admiring. I'm not sure I'd bet looking down at my wrist, just because I wanted to whilst wearing a white dial OP. But I do when I wear the 58.

It's one hell of a watch.

I had a OP39 black and have a BB58.

For what you want I would say OP39 however given a straight choice I go BB58 as I like it more.

There's nothing fancy of wearing at work what you already have. Get the OP if you wish a new watch, but getting the BB58 will land you a watch that is already covered by the LV and a dial design that is almost identical with the other 2.

Given your current pieces I think OP would Fit the collection better.

OP hands down

Looks like “just a watch” (which is a good thing)

Given your current lineup, if it were me, I'd get the white OP -- such a nice looking watch that provides a style contrast to the other Rolexes.

It does seem that so far the collection has focused on sports watches, which is cool. If you have a strong preference for sports watches (ie. that's what you'd rather wear 9 times out of 10), then the BB58 might actually be a better choice for a "less flashy" version of what you already have.

Either of your suggested models would be fine in a work situation.

Do you wear a white lab coat or something like that at work? Then the white OP, which is beautiful anyway, would be an under-the-radar watch as you seem to be aiming for.

Cheers

Both are great, but I prefer the OP. The color combo on the BB58 doesn't do it for me, but that's purely subjective.

Having owned both, I'd have er, both.

The BB58 is awesome, more comfortable for my wrist compared to the OP39 (which I wear on rubber B for lack of easy link).

You have a few other nice pieces, go for the tudor. It's more balances than the OP39 IMO.

Tough decision. Have both.

BB58 is the best bang for the bucks, but as a sports watch, would be more showy than an OP.

I own the Tudor Harrods and the OP39 Rhodium. I would say that the OP39 wins here!

OP pairs well with the GMT, you have enough rotating bezels

OP 39 white dial by a mile.
OP 39 black dial vs BB58 would be a toss up.
