What kind of box came with Zenith Daytonas?

I thought that they came with the normal old-style boxes, but the timezone seller of this T-serial swears that they all came in the following:

Can anyone clear this up for me?

The wood box is correct and was what most Daytonas were sold. Many dealers placed them in regular boxes though, passing out the wood boxes to friends, relatives, employees etc. The wood boses are relatively costly to replace.

Fostie, gold watches came in the nice boxes also some were wood, some were very nice leather. But, so did the Daytonas. Don't know what they came in in Greece, my post was regarding USA sales. Also, I don't know when this changed with Rolex, but the wood boxes were used in the 90's for Daytonas. I've never seen the Daytona in the fancy leather box, but that doesn't mean they didn't come that way from the dealer. I have a wood box with my two-tone Daytona and it was purchased during 1993.

I'm not a box expert, but I know that vintage Daytona depicted in the original post looks 100% correct with the wood box in the photo. Also, there was a larger wooden box that was used with the solid gold Daytona, which looks simililar to the box in the photo - except it was a little taller. This might be the watch box to which you are referring.
