What is really crazy is the Hulk appreciating 50-60% in just a year! It was always popular but not a long wait. Equal to or less than BLNR. As soon as discontinuation rumors circulated, it became everyone’s favorite steel piece other than the Daytona. I wonder why?

It’s a nice watch for sure, but not versatile enough. I wonder if demand would be as strong if the market price was the same as a black Sub date today.

I doubt they'll find you quite that objectionable. That's a special level just for us.

I think so, these are in quite high demand now the SS are unobtainable so most ADs will now use them to build relationships and get repeat business with locals, esp in the large cities. It's a waste to sell to a tourist.

It’s all about timing and coming into its own. A lot of the watch experts believe the LVc was introduced ahead of its time.

I remember a time when nobody wanted a Daytona. You couldn’t give a SS Daytona away compared to the popularity of the Submariner.

Yes, I bought just two weeks before the disco rumours of last Aug so have seen the spectacular rise first hand and continue even after Basel, I paid just over £6k and now we've gone over £10K!

The price of the LV has reached its peak. It wont move much form where it is.

It simply isnt worth even the current asking prices. Its a simple SS Sub with green dial and bezel.

2 years ago you couldn't even sell these with a 10% discount.

Spotted a TT Bluesy at an AD in Denver yesterday but not much else. It is funny the amount of emotion an AD puts in to telling me that SS models are experiencing shortages everywhere and I hadn't even asked about any of them

If a TT Bluesy is of interest to you

I would think that Paris and Nice might be awfully expensive cities to buy anything in due to the high presence of vacationers from around the world. I know that you can get a new Bluesy from some of the grays on this Forum depending on how you feel about the warranty issue. Probably save you some money and you could have it overnight. And some ADs have them in TT. I think Fourtane in Carmel, CA has one. There are probably others.

I was under the assumption that AD’s all sell for retail price, and factoring in about 12% VAT refund, I calculated that purchasing in France is better compared to purchasing in SF. Am I incorrect?

In Asia and the ME...the Blusey is the hottest TT watch around. You can get one with a slight amount of waiting time. but expect ZERO discounts.

The green dial on the LVc is just gorgeous in the sunlight.
The best Rolex dial IMHO.

Own both, but Bluesy all the way. Bought into the hype for the LV at msrp and just hodling (sic) til price inflates more.

are you LaVar Ball of big baller brand? If so the Hulk should be an easy source.

Bought a Bluesy this summer

Asked for one at an AD from whom I buy a good watch about once a year. Had it within a week or so. And that may be because that was when I was available.

I just prefer the Bluesy to the Hulk, just personal preference.

LOL - thats what I mean. I used to own both as well. The Bluesy kills it in terms of beauty that is why I'm saying the LV wont go any higher than it currently is.

Its already around $12k for a brand new piece. Thats already too much.

Yea, the Bluesy is my daily; so versatile in a suit or shorts; office-to-beach. The LV is nice as well, but I keep gravitating to the Bluesy every morning The LV may or may not increase more. I don't think we've reached the top yet. When I see 5711 going for 50k, I still think there's room for the LVs to climb higher to the point of hysteria

Dont think it will ever become like the 5711. Very different beasts there. Cant really compare a Patek to a Rolex especially a modern day ceramic Rolex. It would have to be discontinued for a few decades or more to reach those values if it ever did. Your money is far better off sitting in another investment class if thats what your after

Right, all correct points, but I'm simply referring to a point where prices of an LV would be considered ridiculous; such as a 50k 5711. An LV is $9,050 , so a $1,500 - $2,000 premium is still pretty 'resonable' especially if you compare it to a $20k SS BLRO or a 21k 116500

My advice, see them both in person. Blue is my favorite color, and I have the LV. It’s amazing.

There are three ADs in the Kansas City metro. I stopped by all three over the last couple of weeks and all of them had the two-tone blue dial Submariner.

I won’t say what was available (or should I say not available) for stainless steel professional models, because it would make a grown man cry. But I will say, there were not any green dial submariners. At least on display.
