New Addition- Full Set 16570 from 1999.

Hi Guys,

Excited to add a Mint 16570 Black Dial Explorer 2 to the collection.

This is a Serial A, dating it to 1999 first sold on 16 June 2000. The watch is in excellent ++ condition, near mint. A full set comprising original punched holes warranty paper, period-correct booklets as pictured, calendar, Rolex leather cardholder, red tag, and both inner and outer box.

Bracelet: model 78790 with clasp code AB1 (January 2000). Comes with 12 links and fits a 19cm wrist with room to spare. A very minimal stretch only and the coronet on the clasp is outstanding. The bracelet is the correct model and period-correct clasp as well.

The case and lugs are in very good condition. The chamfer on the lugs is clearly visible, the underside of the case is sharp. The lug holes have sharp edges. Sunburst lines on the bezel are intact and clearly visible.

Excited to add this piece to the collection and a keeper piece for sure:)

What a great watch from a great era. I have a 5 digit 16570 black also- very versatile piece. You have a nice example there. I love the 5 digit rolex even better than the newer ones. More subtle and just better.

I couldn't agree more. This will go beautifully with my 16610 Submariner.

Now, what 5 digit piece is next on the list :)
