Namely, the exposed bezel would look shabby after a short period of ownership, while the ceramic is essentially scratch-proof.

Nailed it!! The Zenith 16520 5 digit is a masterpiece!!!

I’m somewhat surprised the current ceramic is winning. I wonder if this is because of the age group of the voters? I mean, could it be that the contemporary ceramic is the watch that contemporary era voters prefer and as such it’s winning or that even those in their 40-60s still prefer the ceramic despite having lived through the other iterations

Panda (white) ceramic is easily the best to my eyes.

Then black dial steel bezel previous model.

Then black ceramic.

White dial steel bezel last of the four.

CERAMIC OR BUST

Wasn't really a fan of the daytona until the ceramic. Also not a big fan of the rubber strap. So I guess it's steel or platinum for me.

Going to have to be 5 digit for me. Pick your dial. I like white but wouldn’t turn away black either. Earlier the better.

As I stated in my first post, I’ve had them all (and am old enough for that) and prefer the current one precisely for its scratchproof bezel.

Close tie for 16520 & 116520 for me, the 16520 dial layout looks nicer but the modern bracelet/clasp on the 6 digit fits like a glove.

Ceramic for me. I prefer the new modern look and it makes the watch look a bit bigger.

Nothing beats a vintage Daytona, of course, but of the sapphire versions, gotta go black 16520. The symmetry of the dial, unlike the newer Daytonas, wins every time, and the patina on these sub-dials is something no other Daytonas have.

They're all amazing. My top choice was the 116520 white dial. I like the 116520 most because it has the classic look and feel of the Zenith, but modern movement and bracelet from the 116500. I like white because pretty rare for Rolex to make white dial Professionals in SS (Daytona, Exp 2, Milguass in the past).

Really awesome movement too in the 4130

Black Zenith vote here. Even non-Patrizzi dials are starting to show some beautiful patina. I regret trading mine in everyday.
