Trio A or B?

Just a bit of fun here, as clearly I’ll be making my own decision. However which trio would you pick and why, A or B?

A

B

My SD4K is currently away for a service and since getting my DJ36 I’m really starting to enjoy smaller dimension watches, hence the Explorer incoming a couple of days ago.

Anyway what would you choice and also given this addictive hobby of ours, what would you look to add next?

Happy Friday

Any trio with an SD4K in has to be a winner. For me it's one of Rolexs highlights of the last decade.

If I had to get rid of one of the rolexes, I would prefer a datejust 36 over an explorer 36 if I already have a black dialed sports watch like the SD4K. But alas, why not keep all three rolexes? The explorer looks like the love child of the SD4K and the DJ36, would make a nice family.

C. I'm not a fan of the Nomos. But it might have sentimental meaning to you.

or D. SD, DJ, Speedmaster

if we're really just deciding on an Explorer 39 or a SD4K, it's an easy decision for me.

SD4K is still underrated based on what current models cost in the market. (IMHO)

SD4K trio.

I prefer the Explorer over the SD4K.
When the dweller first came out I was offered it several times but it never felt good on the wrist. Neither fish nor meat.
Now it’s discontinued I still don’t want it.

I was never an A student but in this case I am. I’d go with the “A” trio.

The SD4K is the best modern diver by Rolex. An under-appreciated gem. You have it, don’t let it go.

Personally, I'd swap the two Nomos, and go with the second. SD is a fantastic watch, but never liked the maxi-case. I'm a fan of smaller watches as well.

B. The Explorer and DJ cover almost everything. I haven’t quite caught the vibe of the Namos so not sure if it should be included in either.

I also have an SD4K but don’t wear it too much as it’s heavy and I’m now gravitating to more comfortable watches,. The Explorer 1 is just about perfect.
Looking to expand? Look at the Patek 5196. If you think the Explorer has a history, the 5196 relates to the model 96 from the 1930’s and they look a lot alike although Patek have grown in size from 30mm in the 30’s to a whopping 37mm now. A very slow and gradual evolution.
