DD Question

Does the date and day change over instantly sometime around 12 or does the date disappear for 3 hours and day go halfway before changing? I bought a 18038 single quickset and around 9pm the date disappears for around 3 hours and day goes half way through until right after 12.

I'd have the watch opened up immediately.

It should be instant. Bring it to a watchmaker.

It’s very common that this happens. I thi think the advice to have the watch opened immediately is perhaps implying that it may explode if you do not. Rest assured, it will be fine. It happens on the older 30xx series calibers that are in need of an overhaul and adjustment. Take it to a watchmaker at your leisure. I mean sure, it could be a fake, but you certainly couldn’t tell from that.
