Where can I refinish a Seiko dial?

Hello all just curious as to where I would get a dial refinish done. A friend is helping me with the movement but we are afraid to mess with the dial. If some one could refer me to an affordable option that would be greatly appreciated. Or if someone knows how to diy if you could let me know the steps.

I would not have it redone.
Will be expensive, quality is seldom good and worth less than if left alone.
If you really want the newer look you can buy an aftermarket dial on ebay for $15. Will have cleaner print than a redone dial for a fifth of the cost, or less.
Then just keep the original dial as is if you want to go back.

Certainly some of the best advice you'll get. In your shoes it's what I would do too. Having the original dial kept this way is huge for collectors. With a replacement dial the watch will look a lot better without ruining or giving up that original part

You probably won't get the dial itself refinished to an acceptable standard but it should be easy enough for anyone competent to relume the hour markers, which would make a huge difference in this case and not reduce its future value.
You should be aware (if you aren't already), that the hour and minute hands aren't correct for this model.

Yeah, that is a beauiful 6139 model, looks around 1974. I used to collect 6139 and it is an exceptional timepiece. I understand if you have sentimental value for it, but that watch needs a complete overhaul with new parts. As someone pointed out the hands are not correct, the bezel needs to be replaced, the band tightened, does the internal bezel still rotate? None of these are monumental fixes, and if you get the movement overhauled it will last you another 20 years

Question is, how much can you spend on a $200 watch?

Believe it or not, serviced model 6139 pogue are selling for $700 and I'm getting labor for free. So I might make a little coin on it. Thanks for the advice all. This definitely won't be a daily wearer as I think my speedy pro is far superior imo
