You’re right Richie. It sure won’t be me though, even if available.

Can’t say I’m fine with it. They’ve made a ton of business just on this forum alone. Maybe I’m just too old school (or too old) but it seems like a slap in the face that they would press the advantage to this extent.

I am afraid of the slippery slope. First we stop wearing ties with sports coats. Next Rolex will downgrades its guarantee to +/- a half hour a day. Before you know it Chewie is drinking non-alcoholic beer and eating fat free granola.

Stay safe.

After 37,000 post and countless hours of reading of the forums, you have to ask? LOL! I totally get where you’re coming from, it’s frustrating, it ruins the joy of being an watch enthusiasts but what to do?

It’s the talk of the Tudor watch world at the moment. Give it time, and prices will drop.

Haha been there done that. Never regret the watches they are great but with my bird brain every Tudor I’ve bought and subsequently sold has cost me more than any steel Rolex to own.

Now i do think the 58 and gmt have changed that a bit. Those purchased at msrp arent horrid even a few years later. But most wont be able to sell for msrp let alone msrp plus tax.

Hang in there, Angelo. You'll be able to find one for closer to what it's actually worth once this dies down and more are out there. I certainly feel your pain though and miss the days when you could actually visit an AD to see a watch, buy it, and not have this be as big an issue. It'll only make your inevitable incoming thread that much more special once this day arrives

Of course. They are getting more shipments next month and people are already lowering the price to around 500 above msrp plus tax.

Had it come out during normal basel i dont think it would sell for much of a premium. Being the only new tudor or rolex release this year it was bound to happen though.

Ultimately it will just drive the price of the black 58 and this down.

That's excellent news for Angelo and all who want to get their hands on this piece
