Fast Sub 114060
Good morning,
Yesterday evening I took my 2018 Sub, which I hadn't worn for a little over three weeks, wound it some 30 times and put it around my wrist. An hour or so later I went to bed and put the watch on its side, crown up; as I always do with my watches. This morning, the watch turned out to be almost half an hour fast. Any logical explanation for this? |

Stuck hairspring causing it to run fast? With my Seikos I give them a firm tap on the case back with a knuckle or similar.
I don't know if that's a Rolex approved method. |

What could cause a hairspring to get stuck? |

Your watch is still under warranty, I'd let them deal with it. |

Well, the problem appears to be solved. When I posted the question, I also reset the time on the watch and it has been ticking away as it should. Phenomenal things, these watches. Thank you for your input on this subject. Cheers |

Funny that. My Ice Monster only keeps good time if its worn.
Meaning no matter how regularly I wound it and its not worn around my wrist it loses 5 minutes. It's just all about health, happiness & family. The rest are just necessary inconvenience we have to deal with. |

Some mornings my wife gives me her watch to set.
Then in the evening she tells me it is exactly one hour fast. I tell her to send it in for a service.
