Any LCD-panel experts out there...?
I need to know if this mostly-fixed image could cause any screen-burn... :-? The LCD pixels are alignable crystals... they could potentially get "stuck" open / closed with fixed screen-savers... :-/ |

FWIW - from Wikipedia:
"For LCDs, burn-in develops in some cases because pixels permanently lose their ability to return to their relaxed state after a continued static usage profile. In more typical usage profiles this image persistence in LCD is only transient." How to define typical usage... So I guess I'll risk it with my BenQ monitor and Notebooks, but I'll avoid it on my Eizo wide-gamut monitor... |

Screensavers have really went the way of the Dodo, haven't they? Most PCs / Macs power down to save energy. Not much point to having a screensaver anymore...A wallpaper maybe.
