Best Rolex Mans watch under 10k ??
Please could I ask what you think is the best Rolex mans watch either around or below 10k? I would certainly consider any models apart from the datejust.
The forums thoughts would be appreciated although I am aware it’s subjective. |

If you’re looking for a good “starter” Rolex. I would say the Explorer I. I think it fits perfectly for both everyday use and when you need to dress up. Best part is you can find this piece at an AD without too much hassle. Good luck on your search.

Close call between Sub or BLNR. I go Sub.

I'd say BLNR, although there is something to be said for the white OP39, depending on if you care about the date / GMT functions.

At MSRP, I'd go with BLRO or Daytona (you did say "around" $10k )
But at market value, I'd go with any preferred variant of the Submariner or GMT! |

Since you didn’t specify new a good preowned 16600 is easily the best under 10,000

The White OP39 is pretty versatile and can be had within 2-3 weeks at an AD or at retail (or below retail) with trusted sellers in TRF (~$5500)

Just to add the Polar Explorer II is another good option under $10k with the very useful GMT complication.

IMHO The best Rolex reference is one of the most "cheap": Rolex Sub date or ND. ($8.550 with date).

If you have a larger collection I'd consider the above and below equally with only difference being what you want to spend: 116610LV 116710BLNR 114060 |

Best Rolex Mans watch under 10k ??
The two most classic and simply uncluttered sports models are easily the Explorer 1 and Sub No-Date 114060. Anything else with PCLs and colored dials and bezels is straight-up jewelry, LOL. Need a date? Then go with Sub-Date 116610.

Well, the best Rolex men’s watch, period, is the GMTII 16710, available in excellent pre-owned condition right at that amount.

Depends, if you in to diving go with SubC
If you're not then go with GMT Master II |

Best Rolex Mans watch under 10k ??

The local AD had one and I passed because of your comment of being underrated. That was yesterday. So it wasn’t you. It’s that I have a pattern of purchasing underrated Rolexes. So this thread is of interest. |

The absolute best Rolex watch ever made for less than 10k is the 16710 GMT coke, no ifs ands or buts. Case closed. Just buy it and you’ll never have to worry about did you buy the best or not again.
