Oyster Perpetual on Winder or Hand Wind Crown?
Hello, I have a 39mm Oyster Perpetual about 1 year old and alternate between a watch winder (Orbita) and leaving it run dead and then unscrewing the crown to manually wind the watch. If I leave it off the winder, then I will be unscrewing the crown at least once every 2 weeks to power it up to wear it. My concern with doing this is whether or not I am putting unnecessary stress on the crown and winding mechanism. So, is that better or is it better to leave it on the winder? I am only concerned about the health of the watch. Thanks for any feedback!

I personally would not be concerned about having to hand wind and set the time every two weeks. If the watch had several complications the I would keep it on a winder. Nothing wears when the movement is not running.

You don't need a winder.
