214270 First Battle Scar

While finishing up a daily dive today, got home took off my watch to clean it under fresh water.... AND that’s when I saw it... it’s first real battle mark.... all kidding aside I wear it daily so I’m surprised it’s lasted almost 3 months and this is the first. Anyways thought I would share it with you lads. ALSO... no it will not being going to RSC it will go there in 5 years for a service lol. The scuffs are badges of honor.

That’s character right there — I think I can honestly remember - most of the ‘scars’ on just about all my watches....

Some ‘hurt’ more than others - but hey — if I’m not gonna wear them - I’d rather not have them.

Totally beyond repair !!

Actually took me a while to spot the scratch on the second pic...I would say not bad going for 3 months of daily wear.

This is exactly what I tell everyone who says “why would you wear that doing xxxx”. What I tell everyone at the end of the day, it’s a tool, it’s a watch. It has one purpose and that’s to tell me the time/date... if you’re not gonna use the tool, then why buy it.

Once you get about a dozen or so scratches they all start to blend together. Enjoy it, it’s a beautiful watch.

Thanks again everyone, and yes I refuse to get the scuffs taken out, it has a story each and everyone of them. The movement will be serviced and unless it’s a critical fail, it will be left alone. Is a beautiful watch, which I actually wear more than my Sub, but again here it is with its natural tools around it.

That's why I love Rolex watches, they are real tools. Congratulations on the small scar, that makes it much more beautiful and unique.
