AP 14790 - interesting blue dial?

Hi guys, I am still in the hunt for a 14790 and came across a .01 reference with what seems to be quite a unique blue dial that has apparently been confirmed by AP through their authentication service (Pictures attached). Has anyone seen one of these before? I didn't realise they put different dial colours in the same reference! Like the yves klein dial is a separate .05 reference!

I really like it, but dealer is asking for about 25-30% more than the more common blue/grey dial - is it worth it?

Thanks!

Do you like it 25% more than the normal blue dial?

I sure like it a lot, but at 25% markup on an already inflated price I would be looking for something else.

Blue Jean. In a collecting field where the dial is everything, I don't see the issue with paying up for rarity as long as you like it. Let's look at the Patek 5711/1a: white dial $90K, blue dial 110K, green dial 300K, Tiffany blue dial $3.5 million.

I wouldn’t pay more than $25,000

Thanks all! It's a nice dial but agree the price is high. Will give it some thought...

I saw this example when I was looking for a 14790st too. I like it too but it is too expensive.

Settled for another dark blue one.

Shouldn't all 14790 dial showing "Swiss Made" instead of "Swiss" only?

To get that certificate with that handwriting is alone worth 25-30% more...

I am not so sure too as I am rather new to AP.

The AUDEMARS PIGUET on the dial looks like from Series 2, but the AUTOMATIC with the flat top A, looks more like Series 1.

Can't comment on whether it's worth it, but I would take this over the standard blue/grey dial, although I still like the salmon dial best. Looking at the premium for the salmon, it's not obvious that 25% more is crazy for this one (service dial vs original question aside).

I have to agree.
