16202

When I sold my 15202 (couldn’t stand the non quick set date) I thought I would never have the original ever again. However, you might have your plans but God has he’s own. I was fortunate enough to receive the call and now I have a 16202, 50th anniversary jumbo in my collection. The quick set date really makes the difference, in my humble opinion. Cheers.

Now that’s what I call a Christmas miracle!!!

Congratulations and happy holidays.

This is absolutely gorgeous! Congratulations!

My only nit: Did you literally "molest" or touch every surface of the watch with your fingers? That's alot of fingerprints

Major congratulations! She's a beauty.

I hear you on the 15202's quick set. It can be a royal pain at times...

Congrats on the 16202, one of the best!

Never understood the gripe on the 15202 no quick date when you can easily buy a watch winder to keep the correct date set.

Congrats on the 16202! It's really the perfect watch. I almost stop wearing my other AP's since getting the 16202.
Wear in the best of health!

Not everyone wants to keep a watch in/on a winder.

16202

Amazing story and big congrats.

Precious metals? Does anyone know the yearly production numbers for the 16202s and their metal allocations? I love the platinum and yellow gold and have yet to see any of these in real life. Are these just impossible?

Anyone have the BA or PT?

Platinum is no longer in production
I tried on the yellow gold and loved it but seems many disagree with me out there

Not me - BA is my favorite Jumbo. Quite rare, though.

Agree with many of you that yellow is the way to go. Don’t own a jumbo but would ecstatic if ever with a possibility.

Anyone have any hint on real yearly allocations on these elusive 16202s by metal?

Someone posted info from some AP contact a while ago, but with the search function on here it's impossible to find. From public sources, total "Jumbo" production per year has been quoted by FHB himself as 1500, 1800 or 1875 at various times. From there, it's 50-60% steel and then RG > BA > PT, maybe 41 or 31 (well, now it's supposedly 40, as PT has been reported to be discontinued). If 16204 counts as a Jumbo as well, throw it in there with total production somewhere around the 16202OR, for both variants combined.

Thanks VogelPhoenix. Wow, this may be ever more elusive model as each boutique may get around 3-4 in yellow a year with the figures below. Oh well… I’ll keep daydreaming.

My home boutique (which probably has more turnover than the average boutique) got 2 16202BA last year. Going to be a while until they have one for me.

As a 15202 owner, it only gets a bit annoying in February (28 or 29 days) even with the go back to 10 pm and move forward to midnight. I don't mind the other months with 30 days.
