For your consideration is a stunning Stainless Steel Omega Seamaster reference165.024 with an estimated production date of 1968. This Seamaster is fitted with a Swiss made Omega Caliber 552 movement. The impressive twisted lug case is in great condition, with minor scratches. The case is still sharp with all original dial and hands and the original bakelite bezel! The original dial and hands are in lovely aged condition with a beautifully even colored cream tone. An Omega extract confirmed delivery of this Seamaster to Denmark in May of 1968. The Cal. 552 Automatic movement is running well and was just serviced by our in house watchmaker.

Why we think this one’s cool

There is something about the early vintage Omega Seamasters that truly embodies the golden era of dive watches of the 1960-1970s. This model has style elements reminiscent of other legendary dive watches. It features “sword hands” similar to those on the Rolex Mil-Sub and it has a wide-set black bezel comparable to the bezel on the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms. The dials on these Seamasters are just stunning to the eyes and flow so well. This Seamaster just has all the things you want from a diver. Twisted lugs, sword hands and great matching custard patina throughtout and a classic Bakelite bezel. We love a watch that shows it’s age and character and this Seamaster ticks all the boxes. This 165.024 is one of the more honest models we have seen and perhaps one of the best vintage divers designs ever made period.
