Seiko SPB317 'Slim Turtle' - Pics & Video

I borrowed a friend's SPB317 'Slim Turtle' to photograph, and I liked this one quite a bit. I think Seiko has been putting out a few gems among all the fluff that gets released weekly.

I like the watch but have larger wrists so it does not work as well for me based on my taste for size.

Fab photos! I’ve been tempted by a turtle for a while and this one looks pretty perfect 🤩

The SPB317 is actually based on Seiko's second diver, the 6105-8000 (released 1968, see pic below), which morphed into the Willard (6105-8010), and came out before the first Turtle (6306-7000) which was released in 1976. Having said that I don't think the name Turtle was used much before the launch of the SRP line in 2016.

I have the same one and I love it. I have an aftermarket rubber strap on it. I think I see two different straps in your pics. What are they?

I now see you borrowed it. Well, if you remember what they straps were that’d be cool.

A special edition was just announced. Incredible dial. Upgraded bezel insert too.
