New Rolex Daytona 2023

According to me:

Rolex will present a new Daytona this year. The caliber will be new, and the dial will also change.

The subdials position will change due to this new caliber arrangement.

I don’t know what indexes will look like, but I really hope they revert to sharper one likes on the zenith era.

I'm waiting on that guy who pops up on here literally once a year and straight up tells us what's coming. Immediately no-one believes him, and then a couple of months later he's proved spot-on!

That's the guy.

I've just searched his old posts (all 4 of them!) and me saying he pops up "once a year" was apparently a bit of over-exuberance by myself, but he definitely called both the VTNR and the DSC a while before they actually arrived. His post on a blockchain type of thing still has yet to come true, but given the accuracy of the VTNR and the DSC, I wouldn't write it off just yet.

Great news and about time! 116 was getting long in the tooth.
Subdials shifting to make room for a date complication maybe? Hmmnnn...

It's true!

It will have a 116 power reserve and will slow down to -12 seconds after owning for two weeks!

Probably, if they hide a crap 32xx instead of a 4130 inside.

I just want this thread open so when it gets announced I can show I have sources from the inside.

I won’t reveal anything but the new caliber and sub dial arrangement will be the facts that shows I knew about it. Anybody can guess new stuff, but this (caliber/subdials) is too specific IMO to be a random guess.

Sub dial positions changing sounds absolutely awful, but lets see what it looks like if it comes out.

If it gets a date people are going to go nuts for it. I don't really want a date but if they figure out a way to make it work, i could get into that i guess. i certainly need a date most days, but I'm not sure how that would look.

I would take this information seriously given your track record. That being said, they will have to pry my Daytona from my cold dead hands if they make changes that are too drastic.

That being said, I will likely be looking for another Daytona to add in as I adore the current watch as is and the value will likely go through the roof if discontinued.

My thoughts are though that as 60th anniversary, will we see a platinum or 18k versions come out first? Or will they all be released in one shot?

Maybe Rolex is releasing the return of the new Rolex Killy, another Chronograph in addition to the existing Daytona.

Well, not really. Imagine they go back to the subdials being in line with the central axis of the minute/hour hands and top two dials

Basically, back to symmetry as per the 4 and 5 digits.

I could see the subdials returning to the pre-4130 position, and it would be an improvement.
