Rolex gal checking in from Canada!

Greetings to all!

Been lurking here for a short spell and have learned so very much from this place. It really seems like a cool group here,so I thought it best to post an intro 'cus I think I'm gonna hang around for a while!

I'm getting towards my mid-40's and have ben desiring a mid-size Platinum Yachtmaster since first seeing one in the late 90's.Have been a Tag girl previously.

Every tropical vacation would see me in the local Rolex AD shop admiring this beauty.None of the other models spoke to me quite like this one. Finally took the plunge this past November while holidaying in Hawaii and have been thrilled with my purchase.

I stumbled upon these forums while looking for opinions on winders and like so many of you,am now thoroughly and totally obsessed with these works of art(imo).I have a much greater appreciation of my purchase now than I did before and am already trying to determine my next purchase, which will be soon!

I live near Vancouver,BC and will post some watch pics shortly.Look forward to getting better acquainted with you all as the days unfold!

Welcome and thank you very much for your very interesting introduction.

The YM is a beautiful watch and I know how it feels to have the bug for nice watches, it's a great ride.

Lucy, welcome to TRF. Great watch - can't wait to see the pics. Are you guys getting ready for the winter olympics? We have been skiing in Whistler every winter for the past 4 years, but decided to skip it this year. Love Vancouver!

.

Rolexplorer2-The lady DJ is most definitly NOT for me!Those smaller dials are way too dainty for my liking...I'm already starting to consider a couple of the 40mm professional models!

Pep04-although my nick does contain the word diamonds,I am much more of a beer-than-diamonds kinda gal! :)

tandrup-Yes,the Olympic preparations are in full swing here. That said,we are having very warm temps for this time of year and lot's of rain...not exactly great for the local ski hills!

kcmo-Yeah!Another lady who loves rolex!Very nice to meet ya!

Thanks for such warm welcomes everyone!Very much appreciated!I will set the camera up a bit later and post a wrist shot.

Beautiful watch!

You really don't need a macro lens, my pictures were taken with a mobile phone camera..!

Seriously?A mobile phone camera?

I am embarrassed to say I have yet to play with the camera on my BB Storm....is it really possible to get shots like yours with a handheld device such as that one?

Very impressed!

If you can wear a 40mm watch that is so cool. Ivana Trump here on Big Brother is wearing a TT Blue faced Sub, and it looks stunning on her. Your YM looks good though.
