sales of new 42 mm roo

Does anyone know how the sales of the new roos are going. Feel like there were more incomings with the 44mms then the new line up. I wonder if they are second guessing not putting ceramic bezels on there sport watches?

Was chatting with one of my AD's a few weeks ago, and said "it was not selling as well as they had hoped"--the entire 42mm line. For me SS bezel is a deal breaker.

For me also. Everytime I smack my 44mm bezel I am grateful it wasn't steal. I can handle scratches on the side but on the bezel I would lose my mind. I want to size down but won't in till I see ceramic

They are very scratch prone... but still sexy!

I like the old 42mm's better... But your right, don't really see a lot of the new lines incoming.

A ceramic bezel would have gotten me to buy one in a heartbeat.

Just because we aren't seeing incoming here doesn't mean that they aren't selling. My local AD doesn't have many left, if any as of a few weeks ago. The gold ones sold out quickly. There are a lot of people who don't frequent forums but still buy watches. I like the new ones but had they had a ceramic bezel, I'm sure that they would have had a different welcome.

Deal breaker for me too😂 God knows why they didn't just do them with ceramic bez in the first place. I think they must release ceramic bez versions soon, especially in the gold pieces to replace the RC look with even better durability.

I actually like the finishing of the ss bezel, I am just not a fan of the new versions. Yes, they are more scratch prone, but my ss diver is still in great shape after almost two years. And I have two kids under three so it gets a workout! Now the ceramic diver is still perfect, but I like a little variety and if every roo had the ceramic bezel it would get a little boring in my opinion.

No ceramic is a deal breaker for me, as well.

These new 42mm novelties do not have 100% in house movements, correct?

They have calibre 3126/3840, which IS in house. Same movement as 44mm ROO novelties.

The 26320 (RO ROC) doesn't have in house movement, it uses 2385.

Thank you. This set up is technically a chrono add on module, right?

Yes, base is effectively the 3120 with a Dubois-Depraz module.

Thanks again! Love this forum...So is this truly an in house affair? I should google...but did AP license or outsource the module? Now I seem to remember some of this story.

The ceramic bezel is the biggest reason I bought my. 44mm rg novelty. No ceramic bezel no deal.

I would say no (others may disagree), but the fully integrated chronograph is in the works.

I think the 42 line up is still a great option for those starting into a ROO. I have since upgraded, but the 42 themes was a good way to start the journey.

i like the 2014 ROO 42mm lineup and i think the company's direction is getting more stable with fewer variants / models and very few LE's however i feel the price of the new 42mm's are quite high compared to the previous ones which is why the sales could have been hampered a bit..

Unfortunately when the new ceramic bezel 42mm offshores are released, the updated ceramics will tank like a sinking ship.
